I went to Westhampton NY with my best friends.  It was Kimmy’s 50th birthday, so we decided to have a little slumber party. We had so much fun and the rainy weather, turned to sun  the next day. Perfect. We enjoyed lobster rolls and french fries and wine on the beach. ( I’m starting my diet in 2 days. I didn’t think it was appropriate to starve myself on my friends birthday)

We went to a great resteraunt the night before and on the way home I nearly ran over a jogger and 2 wayward deer. Honestly! Thank god I wasn’t drinking. The stupid jogger ran in front of my car wearing BLACK!!!!!!! Say what !   The deer were also a surprise as I by accident drove into the driveway of the police station( it was really dark  and it was an exit off the roundabout.) and 2 deer burst through the bushes and scared the crap out of me. Which led to a outbursts of my own .Involving some choice words about effing joggers and wayward deer…. To gafawing laughter from my passengers in the car. Good job the police didn’t come out. They never would have believed me that I wasn’t drinking.

We did sing the song from the hangover a few times We are the 4 best frinds that anybody could ever have,  that Alan sang. It seemed perfect.

Happy Birthday Kimmy

I made this as her card… She works for Aflac

Don’t eat the Jalapenos…

June 13, 2011

I came home to this the other day. To be honest I thought my husband was getting back at me because I left a note on the grapes, saying Don’t eat, save for lunch tomorrow. There were only a few grapes left and I really didn’t want to go shopping for more grapes for the boy’s lunches.

So I saw this note.

Don't eat me!!!!

jalapeno are a new food for me. I really like them. Not in the same way as My husband who has either jalapeno or tabasco on everything. EVERYTHING!  Personally I think he’s burnt his taste buds off and needs spice on everything now. (well obviously not pancakes or stuff like that)

The reason was… here get closer and you can see  another picture. If you look closely you will see a maggot swimming in the jalapeno juice. Gross!

I’m not sure how anyone would ever find it. Except Jack was getting something out of the fridge and it was eye level and he saw the little bugger, I guess magnified by the glass. It was actually very  hard to capture with my camera…. Ewww it does make me shudder. I’m not  sure if I’ll continue my new love of jalapeno or not!

I don’t want to end on such a yucky note so here are some paintings I’ve just finished. Nothing to do with spicy anything.

Beach Days... I might add words.... I can never think of any though.

Really Pig? I know you can fly, but.......

Beach days

June 6, 2011

We went to the beach on Sunday. It was lovely. I was a little chilly but well I’m a wuss as my kids say. I wore a sweatshirt and obsessed about my hipstamatic camera app in my beloved iPhone… Poor kids, I think I got on their nerves a bit. Well I can’t sit still for long. That’s the problem with going to the beach for me. But it was beautiful.

Jasper... he didn't go to the beach

Even these stinky sandals look cool

Blue didn't go to the beach... she would have loved it though

Cute feet Harry

Looking serious... actually getting tired of me taking pictures

Beach and Relaxation!

July 19, 2010

I went to the beach yesterday. It was beautiful. The weather in New York has been really Hot and Humid. More so than usual. At the beach there was a lovely breeze. It’s always fun to see the little kids playing. The seagulls trying to swipe food. and people just so relaxed. I’m a real people watcher.

I have typically English skin so I hide out under my Umbrella.. My husband is much darker and tans easily. So he doesn’t need to share with me. In fact nobody ever wants to share the shade with me. Fine by me! I finished my book, “The girl who Kicked the hornet’s nest.” by Larssen.  I loved it.

Sometimes when my kids are with me I inevitably have my camera and I take sneaky pictures of people to paint later. I have to be careful, I’m sure people would be mad if they caught me.

This is one of my sneaky pictures, that I painted.

Here are some beach art from other artists.

The weekend

June 28, 2010

I had a very hot and busy weekend. I dog sat for a good  friend who still hadn’t had her electricity restored since the storm. She was staying in a hotel and after sneaking daisy in the first night, she was too worried she would bark and get them kicked out.

We were quite happy to dog sit. Daisy is a Yorkie, much smaller than Jasper and she’s very cute.  My kids were thrilled. My dogs were a little more reserved. Although they were well-behaved, Daisy just wandered around ignoring them. It was actually a lot of fun having 3 dogs for a while.

Of course it gave my kids ideas about getting another dog. I’m not quite ready for a 3rd dog yet, and jasper was a little jealous. Of course we gave him lots of love afterwards, and Blue was not really phased at all.

My boys left for sleep away camp on Saturday. They were very excited, I was excited for them and I was a also a little sad as I saw the bus driving off with my boys.  They get to enjoy sports all day long for the next few weeks.

I’m left with my daughter, my husband and dogs. I’ve promised to go to yoga, see lots of movies and  make lots of art.

Here are a few I’ve been finishing off. getting as much Art as I can for the art show this  weekend! Gulp!

I’m also having a hard time printing them on my printer. I’m not happy with the  color and can’t seem to adjust it.
